Upper Body Workout - Chest, Triceps, and Shoulders.

I love starting my day with early morning workouts—they set a positive tone and eliminate any chance for excuses later when I'm tired.
Today's session focused on an upper body mix, targeting the chest, triceps, and shoulders, followed by an ab finisher and a 15-minute treadmill walk on speed 6.5.
I aim for 1-2 minute rest intervals between sets, lifting heavy enough that the final reps are challenging. Occasionally, I need to decrease the weight on the last set to complete all reps, pushing to failure.
Progressive overload is the best way to see muscle growth. You have to push yourself to see results.

For this workout you will need the following equipment:
Dumbbells - ideally adjustable or in varying weights. You will need heavier weights for the bench press, shoulder press, and overhead tricep extensions.
Barbell with weight plates - if you don't have access to a barbell, you can do the close grip bench press with dumbbells.
A Bench - this allows for more range of motion, however, you can also lie on the floor for the bench press and chest fly.
I have built my home gym over time. Slowly accumulating equipment as I need it.
The stronger you become, the more weight you will require!
I have found Kmart to be the cheapest option to purchase hex dumbbells, so check your local store to see what stock they have on hand.
Alternatively, adjustable dumbbells are a great solution. Particularly if you are short on space. An adjustable dumbbell allows you to increase your weights gradually.

Try these ProIron Adjustable Dumbbells from Amazon.
